How to build a strong learning mindset ?

If you’re a successful worker who wants to learn new things but lacks the time and courage to do so, there are several strategies you can use to solve this problem.

Firstly, get rid of all those negative ideas that are getting in the way of your learning resolutions. Here are some of them:

  • Just have the intention to
  • Saying I won’t be able to learn
  • I am too busy to learn, I don’t have time
  • I am too old to learn
  • I am afraid to fail
  • Passive learning

By identifying and challenging these negative ideas, you can overcome the barriers to learning and pursue your goals with greater confidence and success.

Here are six (6) strategies that can help you build a strong learning mindset

1. Identify your priorities :

Start by identifying your top priorities and the areas where you most need to improve. This will help you focus your learning efforts and make the most of your limited time.

2. Find ways to make learning more accessible:

Look for ways to make learning more accessible and convenient. This might include listening to podcasts or audiobooks during your commute, or watching videos or taking online courses during your lunch break.

LiveLearn can help you to do that. On our platform we have courses, podcasts, and videos about many topics of different fields. We also have communities where people can access to many contents in many formats about the topics and discuss them.

3. Use micro-learning techniques:

Micro-learning techniques involve breaking down information into small, digestible chunks that can be learned quickly and easily. This approach can be especially helpful when time is limited.

4. Take advantage of your strengths:

Focus on your strengths and find ways to leverage them to learn new skills. For example, if you’re a visual learner, try using visual aids to help you absorb new information more easily.

5. Get support:

Seek out support from colleagues, mentors, or coaches who can help guide you through the learning process and provide encouragement and feedback.

To do this more efficiently, with LiveLearn  you can ask your manager to create an account for the team on LiveLearn or if you are the one who decides, you can create it for your team. LiveLearn enables organizations to enhance the skills of their employees to be more productive and more engaged.

6. Practice self-compassion:

Learning new things can be challenging, so it’s important to practice self-compassion and be kind to yourself when you’re struggling. Remember that learning is a process, and it’s okay to make mistakes and take time to fully understand new concepts.

By using these strategies, you can overcome the time and courage barriers to learning and start developing new skills and knowledge that will help you stay competitive and successful in your career. Remember that learning is a lifelong process, and every small step you take towards improving yourself is a step towards a brighter future.
